    Default new to forum

I am so glad I found this forum. You are all so beautiful and knowlegable.Just wondering if anyone knows about the drug Orencia. It is used for RA, but looks hopeful for Wegeners. I have had this lovely disease since 2001 (well that's when I was diagnosed ).I have had some wonderful years and some really awful years. Last year was the worst. I needed to have six blood infusions due to a bloody nose. Two surgeries later and no taste no smell. I know I'm lucky it could have been worse. I have been on EVERYTHING medication wise. RTX worked very well but I had too many bad reactions. So on to the Orencia.
Thanks for listening. Hopefully someone will know more about this drug.

    Welcome to the Forum, Red!

I'm sure we'll all follow your experience with orencia closely. Hope it works well with no adverse side effects.

    Do you also have RA?

    Good luck and better health.

Yes I also have RA. That's one of the reasons my insurance paid for it. Super expensive I guess.
    Thank you for my welcome!

Take your shoes off and set a spell. You'll fit right in if you've got complaints about prednisone side effects.

Welcome to the forum. Your dx was about ten years before mine. I haven't yet needed anything beyond CTX and MTX, along with pred and Bactrim. I look forward to hearing how things go with the new med.

Hi red and welcome to the forum.

I don't know anything about this drug but I also have RA and many in an RA group I am in, take it without any problems, if I can remember correctly.
    I take plaquenil.

I never noticed the designation of junior members before. Must be something kinda new. Anyway, yes, we'd love to know where you are from! Also there's a Weggie Forum members map linked in blue at top of page where you can see where members are all over the world, and you can add yourself if you wish!
