    Default blue veins

Do not get me wrong. I am perfectly fine now, my blood tests have every marker in allowed range. The only thing I have is some erythrocytes and approx. 1 gram of protein in urine.
It is only those small blue-coloured parts of blood vessels on my ankles that I worry about. Is it normal? The other thing I noticed recently is a blue vein on my arm. It is not that I have never seen it but dark color makes me nervous. Well, it is not dark, but blue enough to be a little bit prominent. I am not skinny and do not have any pains by the way. My doc says it is ok - I am with WG after all. Do not want this to be a big question, just wondering...

    Hi Savva,

    I'm pretty sure it's normal.

My grandmother used to say I had blue veins because I came from Royalty.

They show up everywhere on me. I think my arms are probably the worst. Sometimes they seem to show up darker than other times.
My guess is that is not WG related.

I wouldn't worry too much, veins can be exposed for any number of reasons...for example, do you work out, do cardio work...anything like that can cause the veins to stand out. I have never heard of this as a side effect of WG. Best of luck!

I had first noticed the blue veins when I was working, and I thought at first I had marked all over my arms with a blue magic
marker that I was using at the time. I do think that they are more prominent at times. But my dr does seem to think that it is any problem.
