Has anyone developed cancer while in remission with Imuran or any immune suppressing drugs?

I have not had bad cance but soon after treatments I have had multiple skin cancers over the past 20 years. The Rheumatologist and Dermatologist believe it is because my immune system was compromised. I have had WG since 1981. I am now71.

Re: Leukemia
I was treated for Lymphocytic leukemia for 6 months.
This was 12 months after I started treatment for Wegener's
After 6 months, I didn't need to see the oncology team anymore, because they found that the inflammation in my body, was creating false positives in other tests.
The Lymphocytes, part of the white blood cells were off the chart.
My blood lies
I was not in remission, and I was still taking methotrexate and prednisolone
I sincerely hope that the same is true for your blood, and that the readings are false.
Keep Smiling
Michelle

Re: Leukemia
Diagnosed with Wegeners (GPA) in 2000, in "remission" since 2002 but have suffered sinus, lung, kidney and liver damage. Not currently being treated for Wegeners but I am watched real closely now. Last month was diagnosed with Chronic Lymphocytic Leukemia (CLL). Current treatment for CLL is "Watch & Wait" which is normal. I am 72 year old male, an Agent Orange Vet, and the CLL is just another item on my problem list. But, I am not letting any of this get to me, I am at peace with all of these problems.
