Sorry to hear of your doctor leaving. I know that you good rapport with him. At least he recommended someone and is willing to continue to communicate with you and the new doc. Sorry about the long drive as well. Keep the faith!

Sorry to hear about your Doctor Phil...that really stinks.

I'm sorry to hear your awesome doctor is moving, Phil. When I was treated at Mayo I had to drive 3 hours each way, too. It was really hard, since back then I was still on oxygen and couldn't drive it myself. Hopefully your new doc is just as good or better. You never know. But it is definitely a big deal to lose a doc you've been with for awhile.
HI Phil, Sorry to hear about the TB. How are you doing now?
I don't have TB. It turned out to be much worse. It is called Mycobacterium Abscessus Lung Disease. I am doing okay now. My breathing sucks though from the damage from Wegs and the M. Abscessus. I have some large cavitating nodules and scar tissue in the bronchials as well as SS.

Diagnosed March 2003.
Currently but not permanetly residing in Canberra, Australia.
Yes, for most with this it is Cefoxitin, Clarithromycin, and Amikacin. Amikcain is the one that left me deaf.
