I second that on breathing steam. But I just do it at home over a bowl of steaming water with herbs added and a towel over my head.

Oh yes, the things that go on behind closed doors is scary.

Well, I'm expecting your new doc to be very good. It sounds like you have good reasons to think she will be. I hope they decide she can stay!

Actually, my new doc is 3 hours away. So this means more trips to the big cities that are at least 3 hours away. I already have to go 16 times a year already for doc appointments.

I'm sure I will like my new doc. My old doc said that he likes her.

Poor you phil, you really have a rough time!

And I think I looked the distance to Phils doc.. I believe it was 7 hours one way. NB borders NS, and even though we are the smallest provinces over here on the east coast; it's still very far!

Wow. I guess I shouldn't gripe about Seattle being an hour away. If only there were some true Wegs specialists there. On the other hand, I can't believe there aren't some pretty good docs there with some vasculitis experience, whether they'd be called specialists or not. Just need to get their names.

Sorry you have to drive so far to see your new doc, Phil. But maybe it will be worth it. And Carrie, wow, you really have a lot of wide open spaces in Canada. Which I already knew, but you never really know until you live there, I'm sure! Actually, there's some of that here, too... I'm guessing there's at least 12 hours of wide open space between here and Salt Lake City, where my closest specialist might be.

I would think that there would be a decent doc in Seattle that would have at least a few Weggies.

Me, too, Phil. I know Al liked and trusted his doc, who is a nephrologist. Another forum member has shared a name of someone at UW but has some issues with him.... might be worth a try, though.

I would keep asking around. Call the doc offices and ask.
