Elevated C4a
A test came back from another Doctor that shows I have Elevated C4a. Is this a Wegener's symptom?
-
John, I have never heard of this test being associated with WG
Actually, I had never heard of this test at all, but Mr. Google told me that it is elevated in a few different scenarios
- Lyme Disease, Exposure to Mold or other biotoxins (interesting)
Mold exposure could be a trigger for vasculitis conditions, but it hasn't been proven.
My uneducated guess would be Lyme Disease, which I believe has many of the same symptoms as WG
I hope your doctor can give you some answers

Thanks for the response. I seem to have symptoms of both WG and Lyme.

It does seem like that
I guess the only way to tell if it is WG, is for a biopsy of the affected part.
I hope your pain levels get under control quickly
