My thoughts and prayers are with our forum friends and family members that are in Texas or Oklahoma and the dreadful floods
I hope that everyone is on higher ground (if that is possible) and that all is okay.

Thanks for thinking of us Michelle. I live south of Houston and was not affected by the flooding, but we had a lot of rain and stormy weather. It was pretty scary for a few days.

Since I'm new to this site, I just saw this message. I'm sitting in my office, looking out at the long dead and burned dry grassland that surrounds my home and am now longing for those 30 days of blissful Texas rain we had a couple of months ago! We haven't seen anything that remotely looks like water from the sky in at least a month....my lawn is the color of hay at the moment. Luckily we are not in a flood-prone area where I am in Texas (west of Fort Worth), although there were places just a couple of blocks over from me that were completely underwater, as we are 3 blocks from a lake. Sure am missing that rain right about now!

Well then, Melbourne Australia has plenty for you.

Send us the rain Michelle. I live near the Gulf of Mexico south of Houston. We are desperate for some of that rain we had in June. It is expected to be 103 or 104 degrees for the next couple of days.
