I had no idea May is Vasculitis Awareness Month this year .... Did you? And check the slogan:

The fundraising walk is organised by Lauren Currie Twilight Foundation. It's a great charity and I have been fortunate enough to make use of their respite cabin.

Yep, I belong to some Facebook groups for vasculitis patients, and have lots of vascie FB friends independently of those, and there is a fair amount of awareness being raised there. It's a good opportunity to share with others who aren't very aware and need to know that this is a real and serious disease that they and their loved ones could get. It may be rare, but not so rare that it shouldn't be common knowledge to the general public! The phrase 'More Common Than You Think, More Serious Than You Know' gets that across very effectively.
