Was on a lecture where they referred to some data from that dissertation, especially how the diagnosis has changed in the way that people get diagnosed much quicker than before.

Haven't had time to read it myself as I just found it. Figured it might interest some people here as it seemed to have some quite nice data.

Don --this says we are lucky to be here: The second sentence describes me very well. I thought the survival rates were closer to 90% for one year though.
The crude one-year and five-year survival rates were 83.3% and 74.2%, respectively. The standardized mortality ratio was 3.43 (95% CI = 2.98 to 3.94). Older age and elevated creatinine level at diagnosis predicted shorter survival.

Drz, I'm not sure how well you can apply those statistics directly to people from other countries. I did find it interesting that the time to get a diagnosis has become so much shorter and the amount of cases has grown a lot. Improved diagnostics and ANCA results are probably the main cases, but it did sound like Weg's is getting more common.

Guess they stopped getting data before RTX became available. I still haven't read it though, just saw some data from it and read the summary.
