hair loss

im taking methotrexate 20mg and 7 1/2 pred my hair is falling out. anybody had the same problem? janet

We are on about the same Jan,

I am on 20mg MTX and down to 5mg pred.

My hair isn't falling out but has thinned a lot and is a lot curlier and frizzy (normally more like spirals than curls).
I have just had it cut shorter to try and calm it a bit.

I heard mention (probably on a thread on here) that taking more folate can help with the hair loss.

I'm on Cytoxan and had the same thing as Michelle. Shorter hair makes it less noticeable. Mine is natural curly too and has slightly more frizz now. Good luck.

No holiday yet Jan, we go in November.......it is getting so close though.

Oddly enough, I didn't notice the hair loss about 4 months after starting Cytoxan, but now, 1 year into it, it seems worse than before. Is this normal? I'm guessing so. Oh well, for now, it's saving me from having to get a haircut to have it thinned out. I have very thick hair.
