Yes I think thats the drug she maybe will try me and his mother read through all about the drug and the bad looks like it outways the good, he has 2 little girls, 6 and 9 yrs old he shares care of and if he was in a bubble so to speak and the fact his kids are sniffiling with 1 infection now and then he would fear not being able to see them and all other restrictions a drug like that would do.Anyway the specialist who from my understanding is a Renal specialist, she has not as yet spoken to him abiout the drug she is waiting to see how much further if any this use of cyclo lowers the creatin first

His immune system is at the same risk whether he's on ctx or rtx. Both suppress the immune system, they just do it differently.

Jack actually had Wegs for about 25 years. It took 5 years for them to get it under control but then he had a full life as a father, husband and worked full-time until the last few years, when the side effects of the drugs and damage from the Wegs would not allow him to continue working or traveling.

Take heart: One of our members was in solid, drug-free remission for 27 years. He went into remission after the initial treatment and only flared last year (or the year before, I lost track). He did another round of treatment for a few months and went into drug-free remission again. I don't think we've heard from him since! He's out there enjoying himself.
