Australian Weggies welcome to visit Lakes Entrance
If any Aussie or overseas people are ever down our way - Lakes Entrance Victoria you are welcome to visit me. It would be interesting to meet some of the lovely people on this site, face to face. Alby and I love prawning so we could "chuck a prawn(I think Americans call them shrimps) on the Barbie!!!!" Regards Carol

Sounds wonderful! I live in a part of Nebraska with as much land mass as the Netherlands (pop. 16,000,0000 compared with western Nebraska- the Panhandle- and its 92,00 people!). I have never talked face to face with another Wegener's granulomatosis patient. At one point five years back, the idea seemed senseless. I became a member of the Vaculitis Foundation nonetheless. It's worth a visit at www.vasculitisfoundation.org They encourage you to have contact with other WG patients in your area, and such, but I feel this forum serves a better purpose, is, potentially, of greater service to people with the disease in early stages especially. The website above gives general information about the disease, has and excellent FAQ section. Anyway, give it a shot, but come back here, too!

No thanks needed. You are the one who did it all and still does it all. I'm sure the Australian group will just get bigger over the years. Not sure how many members there are now but I would be over 100 and will soon probably have over 500.

Sorry, it is only open to Australians and New Zealanders because it relates to our medical specialists etc and no mention of Mayo's or Cleveland or Add's. Just our doctors and hospitals.
