congrats phil on the start to the hearing. I just got hearing aids two weeks ago because I lost 75%in my right ear and 95% in my left ear so to hear sounds and voices is a great feeling good luck. hope your breathing gets better soon.
Thanks everyone. I am now home and hopefully will hear from the doc in Calgary that will do the bronchial surgery on Monday. I sure hope I can have that surgery soon.
The Pulmy in Regina put me on Bactrim DS 2 tabs 3 times a day. He said it will help keep the Wegs at bay. I will have to discuss this with my doc again on Monday. I don't think that my doc is going to want me on this at all. He said he mainly uses Bactrim for patients that are on ctx or rtx.
It is amazing to be able to hear again.
I am also using Pulmicort and Combivent in addition to the Ventolin nebs.
I am back down to 10 mg of pred as well. I am sure I will be staying at 10 for a while or even going up to 20 or 30 at times over the next few weeks. Hopefully after the surgery and once I stabilize again we can talk about tapering again.

Fantastic news. Made my day!
Great to know your implants were successful!! I just wish you were feeling better to enjoy it more. What is the surgery you are having to improve your breathing?
Trudy
Oh, glad you are back
It's so wonderful and amazing that you can hear again!! I'm so happy for you!
I know little about how the implants work. You said you've scored high marks so far...........does that mean your hearing will continue to improve as time goes on?
I hope your breathing improves, or that you can have the surgery asap. It must be very frightening.
