That is great news, Phil, even if the hearing is not perfect yet, it will get better over time. Good luck with the surgery on Monday.

The surgery I will have will be most likely stents in the bronchials or lazering to remove the scar tissue.

My hearing should improve over time as my brain retrains itself to hear again.

    Phil,

I'm curious on that. They told me at the clinic that stents in the Bronchs are not a good idea for Wegs patients. I have similar issues in this one case so I just wanted to share that.

I had two bronchs. The first was the diagnostic kind and was stupid; it just put the medics on the wrong road to discovery. The 2nd was with lavage, and it, along with the plasma exchange, fixed me right up.

I will have to ask my doc about this hopefully on Monday. I would have no idea why stents would not be a good idea. If anyone is seeing Dr. Specks soon or will be talking to him please ask him about these stents and scar tissue left behind in the bronchs by granulomas healing.

Just catching up... YAY for you hearing again, Phil!!!! Wow, that is amazing.

I hope they can figure out the safest thing to do with your bronchs. I think someone said stents aren't good because scar tissue forms on them and narrows it again

Thanks. That makes sense about the bronchs and the stents.
