Default Tracheal/Subglottic Stenosis with Saddle Nose

Sangye thought (as do I) that it would be interesting to see how many of us who have tracheal or subglottic stenosis have also noticed any changes in the nose. Has your nose also saddled or are you seeing even any slight changes? I have read in several places that the two go together, and the saddle nose/SS pattern seems to have happened to several forum members. So please vote!

Heh. Apparently the only answer you can have to the poll is YES. I can't figure out how to get back to the poll to edit it! HELP, Sangye!

I don't think I can. I can get into the post but not the poll!

I guess you'll just have to ask Andrew to delete it and start a new one. It seems odd, but I can't figure it out either.

    Jan,

Everytime you write about saddle nose I have to touch my nose.

Does the saddle nose happen overnight or is it a gradual process.?

It's gradual but as you can imagine very bizarre and quite disconcerting because you can't stop it. I didn't have any pain associated with it but apparently some people have a lot.

i have decided to find humor in the saddle nose effect...I was told that they would watch for it and with WG effecting my trach it is likely it will occur sometime....so being married to a filopino man that lacks a bridge on his nose and having children without bridges on their noses ...My young son said if it happens I will finally fit into the family...lol ...i almost cried...out of the mouths of babes...now to figure out before it happens how I will keep my glasses on should keep me busy for a while

Glasses will still stay up and even hide it a little bit, so no worries!
