Salivary Gland Involvement?
Spent seven hours in an emergency room, with what I originally thought was a swollen gland, from a recent low lymphocyte count, after four infusions of Solumedrol/RTX. Ended up being a blockage in my parotid gland duct instead. Knew it wasn't an infection, when the swelling went back down in between meals. Swelling from infection does not do that. Have to follow up with an ENT doctor. Swelling has improved with some basic care. Here is a case study of a weggie with salivary gland involvement. This is a first for me. Kind of freaked me out. I'm on schedule for my last RTX infusion Thursday.
