Default Anyone hear of " The Immune systm: The mind-body connection.

I got this in the mail " Who gets sick and who stays well, by Nick R.S.Hall, PHD. It's a six hour seminar for health professionals.

In my experience, there is definitely a strong connection between state of mind and staying alive, but I'm not so sure that there is a connection with the immune system. We seem to have quite a good cross section here on the Forum, but I would say that it tends towards the healthy and positive rather than the sickly and negative.

Yeah, I agree. I think that if positive attitude was the way to health we would all be in the pink of it.

I think it is too many variables to figure this WG thing out. I true believe we have a genetic disposition first and then something triggers it....

Strangely enuff I come from a superhealthy family. Father had some heartproblems after 55, mother got totally dementic at 60. I got this peculiar thing at 68. So I wonder, can't think of anything traumatic at that time.

Moyan, heart problems at 55 and dementia at 60 is not healthy! Both take many years to develop before they're diagnosed.

Hi Sangye, hope you are feeling better. Father died at 70 and mom at 80.

So your mom lived 20 yrs with dementia? How sad for you, Moyan. That must have been extremely painful to watch.
