Default Flu shot or not during COVID 19?

The last couple of years my GP sends me an invitation to come and get a flu shot.
Untill today, I never did that.

My question is: how many of you take a shot this year, during the COVID-19 pandemic?
Is the current flu-vaccin a 'dead vaccin'?
    (GPA-patients should'nt have 'live' vaccinations, istn't it?)

Do any of you expect problems after vaccination?
It would help me a lot to read your thoughts on this matter.
(I know there has been discussion before, but this time everything is different because of the pandemic.)

I got my flu shot early in September because my rheumy wanted me to get it before my rituximab on September 22.

Vaccine is dead virus. I’ve been getting flu shots for at least 30 years and never had an issue.

I am a retired teacher and have gotten flu shots every year since childhood. I have had GPA for about 12 years and have had flu shots every year with no problems. I also now get pneumonia shots as needed, since diagnosis.

I've been getting my shot every year since my 2003 diagnosis. I'll continue to do so. Would recommend it to everyone.

I've been getting my flu shot every year to for several years. My doctors asked me if I have ever had any problem with the shots and so far I haven't. They tell me once I have a problem with it then I should not get any more of them. Because of my age and the GPA they say it's very uncertain if the flu shot will actually do me much good but since there's no real downside to taking the shot they strongly recommend it for me.

    Thanks everybody!
I phoned my GP, and the assistant told me we will recieve the invitations to get a flu shot soon.

Will have to wear a mask when going to the medical practice, because Covid 19 is increasing in our country again .
During summer the number of contaminations was low, now the numbers go up again.

Yep, I have been getting my flu shots for years. My Rituxin was late this year. Flu shots were not available beforehand. Checked with my rheumatologist and she said 2-3 weeks before infusion or 5 to 6 months afterward. So this year I have to wait until November, but better late than never. And I too get the senior one.

I have gotten the Flu shot every year since being diagnosed in 2018 and in 2019 got my first pneumonia shot that is good for 5 or 10? years if I recall correctly. Prior to 2018 I had never gotten the Flu shot and was not exactly thrilled to start having to. Fortunately, no bad reactions to either. I've also not been sick with anything since my diagnosis. I don't know if that is from prednisone (steroid) or what? But I have been thankful for that because we usually just pass stuff around and around again in our home with having young children.

My family had also not gotten the Flu shot before either, but we are now either all in or all out to try stay aligned and hopefully healthy as we all live together. My children area also doing remote/home learning for school as to not bring home Flu or COVID-19 to us high risk parents. Such wild times we are living in right now.

The injection is not the live virus but the nasal spray version is. I now ask about anything I do containing a "live" anything! Keeping alert and on my toes as I learn to live with this disease.

    My best!
    Kind Regards,
    Michelle
