    Default Moves Fast

This disease sure does move fast. On Sunday my husband and I went to brunch. I felt kind of blah and did nothing the rest of the day. On Monday I woke up with a very sore throat. By Tuesday I was wheezing. I got into see my ENT Wednesday at 10:30 am. It was bronchitis, and he said if I would have waited it would have quickly turned into pneumonia. He is the Harvard educated NYC doctor that tested me and diagnosed my Wegeners. He is a surgeon and has performed a number of reconstructions for saddleback. I am to have lung X-ray. I was sent downstairs at the clinic to have my eyes checked (I remember what happened to Alysia)
Just need new glasses, no sign of Wegeners there.
My husband was my official driver and to be perfectly blunt I looked like Hell. No wig, no makeup and sick as a dog. When I stepped out of the eye doctor’s I took a quick look at frames. Picked up a Bohemian looking pair, round, navy and white stripes. I slipped them on, and no kidding, I looked like a cross from the 80’s sitcom The Golden Girls, and the wrath of God.
ENT put me on antibiotics and prednisone. Yuck.
My chest is still tight but it is loosening a bit. If I don’t notice a substantial difference by tomorrow I will call him back.
Charlotte is not a sleepy southern town. It is a city on the move in the south. In the past decade the growth has been phenomenal and with that comes the demand for top notch physicians.

I bet you looked lovely, Masha. I am glad you have good docs and I pray you will feel better soon.
In those cases, I think it is important that you will try to differentiate between wg flare and between infections caused by being immune suppresed. The treatment is different. I guess what hapoened was the second option ?

    Hey My Friend Alysia,
Your Years of experience shows. That is exactly what the doctor said. You have saved me more than once. I read where you advise to get right in and check it out. Your eye experience also helped me not to hesitate when ENT wanted my eyes checked by a specialist immediately. But when I think about what our newest member went through, and I realize how much worse it could have been. Am due for Rituxan infusions next month. Will call Monday to see if it is OK to continue as planned. Bronchitis has moved up to a head cold, miserable but safer.
No I really didn’t look lovely, I am surprised my face didn’t set alarm bells to go off to evacuate the building. Really, I looked so scary that when we pulled into our neighborhood my husband said if I wanted to duck that would have been the time to do it. I should have got out of the car and yelled ‘Run for cover, silver haired big foot on the loose.’
How are you feeling? When I don’t see posts, I figure, better and having fun, or worse and out of it.
My prayers are always with you for your health and safety.
    Masha

You DO look lovely because you are a beautiful soul and it must be reflected in your face.

If we have any infection we better treat it before going for rtx.
