Exciting news… On Wednesday morning I will be the focus of a lecture by Dr. John H. Stone (my rheumatologist and Wegener’s expert) at Harvard Medical School! He is going to lecture Harvard Medical School students on Vasculitis and Wegener’s Granulomatosis from 10:00 to 10:45 followed by a 15 min Q&A. From 11:00 to 11:30 he’s going to discuss my case. I’ll be there and participate in the Q&A sessions. Dr. Stone said it’s exciting for the class to have a newly diagnosed Wegener’s patient that was treated early and is most probably on the right path to remission. He also said it should be very educational for me. I think the lecture will focus on how they came up with the diagnosis as my case initially threw them for a loop.

That's great, Gary! Ask him if they'd tape it for youtube. There are other Wegs videos on youtube that have mistakes or outdated info in them. It'd be great to have one with accurate info.

I'm giggling imagining one of my Wegs doctors doing the same with me. Those students would never get out of the class and no one would have any idea what to recommend. When my current flare was finally diagnosed last summer, he said "There's nothing about you that is black and white. You're all gray."
