Default Has anyone had something to wrong with your liver?

I'm not sure what is happening but my albumin has dropped low. I am also having pain in my right upper abdomen and back. My kidneys aren't voiding much and I have very little energy. I had an appt with a gastro person at CC tomorrow to check out my stomach issues. I now also made an appt with an nephrologist. I hope this hits one of their specialities. I have had some blood and protein in my urine, off and on for a while. I have also had elevate neutrophils, lymph and WBC's.
Just wondering if anyone ended up having liver problems from treatment or disease?

Is Dr VillaForte (or do you see Dr Langford?) aware of this? I forget which immunosuppressant you're taking. Methotrexate or azathioprine could cause liver problems.

OMGosh Jaha, when it rains it pours. Sorry to hear you are going through this now. Pete is right about making sure Ville-Forte knows. Good luck up there and let me know what happens when you get home....

My liver looks "fatty" in the ultra sound and my ALT is up to 53. BUT it might be temporary reaction to meds and/or infections. Praying for you, Jana. Please update us. Sending lots of love ❤❤❤❤

Every time I flare, my liver is the first to show it in the lab work. Way before even the ESR starts to elevate. I remember talking about this a long time ago on here, and I think there were a couple of others that have liver involvement. I obviously have the right diameter vasculature in my liver, as maybe so do you. It's never gone anywhere bad, but it's a marker for me, and usually subsides with treatment. From your bloodwork it sounds like maybe the dog is barking and needs a hit of something stronger. My neutrophils also elevate during a flare which is what got me going on a whole different treatment idea about a year ago now. But that's a different story.

I think the best specialist is your rheumy and get them to ensure the WG is being treated adequately. I'm thinking all of that is related, or it would be for me if I was witnessing it with my lab work.

Best of luck Jana, hope it all goes down uneventfully.

Well I saw the Gastro and I got scheduled for a colonoscopy. She told me that she wants me to cut my
Stomach medication in half. This will help not to get more stomach polyps. I also have to lose a bunch of the weight I gained from the preds. So I guess I'm going to have to eat like a bird and sh_t like an elephant.
I also went to a nephrologist. I didn't maybe any signs of blood in the urine test from there. He looked at the DR scan I took with me. He said that it looked like I had a cyst on the top of my rt. kidney. He said that the cyst will probably resolve it's self. So all is well and it is time for my infusion this month. I will have to go back up to see Villa-Forte. Thanks for your concerns and kind words.

Hey Jaha sorry I confused you with Arieta. I'm glad you are going to be ok. What stomach med are you taking, and why?

My bf has a cyst on her kidney that is half the size of her kidney and the neph said it was ok to leave it as is. He also said if he ran a scan on all his staff, most likely everyone had a kidney cyst.

Jaha..that is all good news except for the colonoscopy You will lose weight from that !! Are you getting it done there or at home ? I also have so many cysts all over. I don't know what causes them but the docs all say there is nothing to worry about. Did they say anything about your uti's ? Glad to hear everything went well there
