Default GPA Specialists - Atlanta or nearby Area

    Hi
I just posted an intro yesterday. I live in Atlanta, Georgia, USA.

I am thinking I need to find a doctor that is a specialist in GPA. My rheumatologist has been great and she has been very caring and concerned with the progressive nature of this disease. however, I feel she doesn't have that much experience or that many patients dealing with it. When I asked her if she had any other GPA patient she said she had one other one and that he/she didn't have such an aggressive version of it.

I read that people suggest to find a real good GPA specialist perhaps in a Vasculitis Center and do a few times a year in conjunction with a local specialist.

So, I looked up the closest Vasculitis center to me and that would be the Cleveland one.
Surprised there is not one at Emory ?
Anyway, does anyone have any recommendations on GPA specialists either in the Atlanta area or at the Cleveland Clinic.

I will greatly appreciate any recommendations.

    Thanks
    Jeannette

The Vasculitis Foundation website lists some for Emory University:

If you want to try Cleveland Clinic, I recommend (and see) Dr Alexandra Villa Forte. She is excellent!! She has also worked well with my local PCP. She only sees Vasculitis patients.

Another doctor at Cleveland is Dr Carol Langford. Some folks on here see her and sing her praises as well.
