    Default New symptom? Onycholysis?

Hi folks! Has anyone developed onycholysis? It is the separation of the nail from the nail bed. I have developed this on several fingernails on both hands. I looked it up on he Internet and it seems to be what I have, although I have not been diagnosed by a doctor. It is usually caused by trauma to the nail, nail fungus, or psoriasis, none of which I have. It can also be caused by cancer meds or internal diseases like lupus. I'm on Imuran and have Wegeners, so I'm wondering if one of them could be causing it. It is not serious...just weird. Anybody else?

    Hi Arleta,
Wow, there is one that I have not heard of. I hope it's not too painful. I had a nail problem once where my nail was very wavy and thick. My doc at the University I go to said they had a 'nail guy' . He is in dermatology. It turned out to be nothing serious and went away. I hope the same works out for you.
Maybe where you go they have a 'nail guy'?

Nail fungus is not uncommon from having a surpassed immune system.
