Travel Insurance for Pre-Existing Condition

Hoping to find travel insurance that will cover a vacation for folks with preexisting conditions and would appreciate any suggestions. Thanks!

That's a very interesting question and one I hadn't considered since I get my medical through the military and its worldwide coverage.

Since travel insurance is temporary, I'm guessing they would take each case individually. Say you had diabetes... You couldn't get normal insurance for long term coverage, because long term coverage is so expensive. But I'm guessing they would cover you for travel insurance because its only for a short term and they only cover catastrophic illness which is low risk. For some reason, I don't think wegs would be a problem, but I really have no idea.

In the past when I traveled on tours most offered a trip insurance option. It would cover pre-existing conditions if purchased at same time or within two weeks of the our package. Individual trip coverage might be more difficult to find.
