I looked but could only find fludrocortisone. I asked my Rheumatologist about it and he didn't think it was a good idea. I'd love to find a steroid that did work better.

Your doctor should be able to offer some alternatives or else get a consult with another doctor that can, maybe an endocrinologist might help you sort it out. Maybe there are medical reasons why the alternatives might not be best for you but this should be discussed with you and explained to you if you wish.
