Because of stenosis doctor needs to resect 3 rings of trachea. Now, I have canulla for easy breathing. Could you please give me more information about this surgery and do you have any experience wit that?

Hello Methju,
Your surgeon's plan sounds very drastic. Most people on here who have tracheal stenosis undergo a procedure called tracheal dilation - a stretching of the trachea to reopen it. The procedure your surgeon is planning is to cut out part of your trachea and stretch the two remaining ends together. You may want to have further discussion with your surgeon about longer-term outcomes of his plan versus having to repeat the dilation procedure.
Good luck!!
