I currently have the same issue but I'm also getting rituxen treatments. I find if I eat with plastic it helps. And lots of gum.

I remember the same thing when I was on Cytoxan and prednisone, the issue went away after I was done with treatment.

I remember it early on in my initial treatment. Even plain water taste bad and I asked for outside bottled water. It gradually subsided though. I assume it related to one of my meds or treatment.

Everyone is different, but I have never heard of metallic taste being a side effect of mtx. I have been on mtx (as well as 17 other daily drugs) for over 5 years now and haven't experienced a metallic taste. I'm guessing it might be one of your other drugs. Its certainly something I'd ask your doctor about on your next visit.

I had that taste for a while before txs and dx's and after having a lung resection. If I remember correctly, it's been 5 years today that I had the lung surgery, they had me on an antibiotic and I think a large dose of preds. I remember having that taste for a long time, but I can't remember what stopped it. I also was put on 2 different inhalant, those could have been the culprits. Best wishes to you getting this resolved. Take care of yourself.
