Yup, just a week or two ago. Happened very briefly several times over a few days. The double vision lasted for only a minute or two. I put it down to stress and blood pressure issues. The eye pressure was probably the least of the issues though as I couldn't really fell it until the double vision occurred. I have a note to ask my doc on Friday next week when I see him.

    I'm a lot of help aren't I!!

Jack, I have eye pressure all the time. Just saw the eye doc, he stated that I have glaucoma. Eye pressure can be due to the WG's, sinus infection, dry eye's and other odd medical conditions. I go to a eye doc who is very caring and told me if it gets worse to let him know. I never got double vision. I guess Prednisone and the WG can really exacerbate glaucoma. It's too bad that WG has to be so systemic, why can't it all be in one place. LIke our BIG TOE??

    John,
Please call your Wegs doc today about your eye. There are several things that can cause your symptoms, and all need to be addressed promptly. Having double vision--even briefly-- is something to take seriously. My eye specialists have always told me that if I develop double vision I need to call them immediately.

It's possible that you're developing a Retro-orbital mass (ie, a Wegs granuloma behind the eye) or Orbital pseudotumor (common with Wegs). Either of these could cost you your vision if not diagnosed and treated quickly. If your doc isn't a Wegs specialist, tell him to check for those 2 conditions in particular.

well, spent four hours in liverpool eye hospital today.the doctor i saw was well educated on wg and did all the tests relative to wg problems.he couldn't find any problems but is making appointments for me to see two more eye specialists in the next ten days.one possible explaination he came up with was wg can tighten the muscles behind the eyes causing distortion.at the moment my eyes are aching, they feel like they've had a full workout in the gym.

I'm so relieved you got to the experts, John. Never heard about the muscle tightening thing!

I hope it's something easy to diagnose and easy to resolve. Just glad you're in good hands.

John, I've been dealing with the same problem for a few weeks now. My doctor sent me to an eye specialist who ran some tests and said my eye was fine. The pain I was experiencing wasn't from anything in the eye, but was due to pressure outside the eye, maybe caused by prednisone. I hope you're doing better, my eye is still feeling the pressure. Should get better tomorrow with a Vikings win!
