That is Cindy Abbott who has climbed Everest and is running mushers in the Iditarod race. I think she lives somewhere in S. California. Too busy to be posting on here much, I'll bet. Don't know that I've seen her video!

She was going to show her 'movie' in Los Angeles so they were advertising it on the news here. I'm just South of LA
Anne, I'm not sure but I think this video of Cindy in what they are talking about. It is doing the rounds at the moment.
I will also say that Cindy and the team she is with, would never ever mistreat her dogs - EVER

Thanks so much, Michelle! I watched it and it made me cry in a very good way. What an inspiring person she is. (And I must correct my earlier terminology; mushers are not the dogs but the person "mushing" them is the musher, which I probably already knew.... the old Weggie brain strikes again.)

There was an article about Cindy in the last VF newsletter. Talking about her accomplishments and the the show with Valerie Harper narrating it. She also has a website reachingbeyoundtheclouds.com

Welcome to the place you can find answers to questions, you never even thought about. It sounds like you have been down a rough path and have a lot of conditions come on you at once. I'm sorry that you are having these health problems, you have found the right place for chatting with the most compassionate people. I also love your cat. I to have a hard time giving up my old self, but we just have to find the new us, which is really hard. Wishing you all the best and looking forward to hearing more from you.
