i'd stay, don't remember your story but with that temp and heart rate I would think they would keep you. I hope they know your are immune-supressed.

Virus is what they say when the don't know what they are dealing with. Try and get them to let you stay until you have either seen a specialist or feel well enough yourself.

They are bringing in an internal medicine team. And i asked them to plz call my rhuematoligist. But what kind os infection do u think they should be looking for? They just came in and drew a d-dimer. They sent out cultures. They said they just dont feel comfortable sending me home with a heart rate that high. And yet...u know the line...they just dont know that much about wg so what do i think? Of course i WANT to go home to my kids..the hospital is not fun.

Is your Sed rate elevated or your CRP? How about WBC and RBC? I would ask to have a mask to wear while your there and if they admit you make sure they put you in a room by yourself.

I would stay there is a lot of factors that can affect your heart rate. Your no good to your kids ill, stay and get feeling better. Trust me I have spent many nights wishing I could see my kids, and or wife. While waiting for doctors to figure me out. I hope you get to feeling better.

I was in the hospital in Nov with very high heart rate but mine was irregular. It jumped back and forth between around 80 and 150. They ran all kinds of tests - blood work, EKG, echo-grams, MRI of lungs, and more I can't remember. They told me I had a UTI but I did not have the usual symptoms, just a slight temp. Turned out after bringing in a cardiologist I had tachycardia which is a problem with the heart. I am sure my tachycardia was a result of WG after hearing a talk by a cardiologist from Mayo clinic who works with WG patients. I would ask of a cardiologist consult to check this. Tachycardia causes a fast heart rate and it usually can be controlled with medications.

I am late reading this but glad they decided to keep you. You should make sure you tell them about your immune being low and they would probably put you in a private room. They probably did anyway since they think it is the flu. Keep us posted
