The info is on the Social Security website, but it is pretty darn convoluted and hard to follow. So I'd just go back to work and do the best I could, if I were you, keeping in mind to save up some in case I needed to have some non-work or very limited work months before applying for SSD. Then, if you are approved for benefits, they will reimburse you with a retroactive amount for that time period.
