I don't even tell them I have a DISEASE - ick sounds awful.
I say I have a medical condition.........or sometimes I include the word 'rare' but only if I'm trying to get my point across.
I do like to point out to my work colleagues that they wouldn't like me to end up in hospital - so would they mind covering their mouth when they cough, or stay home if you have the flu etc.
Saying a vascular or vasculitis condition gets them listening a bit more than Wegeners Granulomatosis.
Please don't be afraid to tell people that you have a medical condition where your immune system is the pits........we need to get more people aware
