My thoughts and prayers are with you Sangye and your beloved companions. Like others here, I know what it is like to care that much and how difficult it can be.

Praying for you and Patch, so hard to have to stand on the sidelines without being able to fix it.

Oh my heart is broken for you. My corgi, Loki, has been my constant companion throughout being sick. He's always at my side, always wants to be with me and is happiest when he sees me. There is no greater joy than the love of an animal. It's pure, unconditional and they ask for nothing but your love and affection. What an easy thing to give and they give SO much more in return.
I will keep all of you in my prayers and will send positive comfort thoughts to Patch in this time.

Hi Sangye, I am so sorry to hear about your dog. It is always hard to lose a pet, almost as hard as losing a relative. You are both in my prayers.

Same with us Mike but our Cocker Spaniel.
She was 12.5 and had intermittent seizures. Apparently each one she had caused a reaction in her brain.
Basically in the end she had too much brain damage and extremely high anxiety levels.
Like most of you, we wouldn't wish the death of a beloved family fur child on anyone.
Sangye, I hope Patch is comfortable.
Keep Smiling

I am SO sorry to hear this. I have never had a dog, but have had many much-loved cats...so I understand how our pets are family. We lost all four of our kitties a few years ago. The "baby" of the group was 18. I still pet their pictures frequently. I hope that Patch can be given treatments that will make him comfortable so that he can enjoy the time he has left....which will hopefully be a long time. I will be thinking about both of you. Love and hugs to all of you.
