    Default Dermatitis or Vasculitis rash?

    Hi all

    I'm back with a question!

I've developed a small (size of a 5p) rash on my arm in the last few weeks. I thought it was dry skin and dismissed it. I put some moisturiser on it, hydrocortisone cream and bio oil on it and nothing has got rid of it although it did go down slightly with the bio oil. Now I've got a rash developing on my belly. I have started using new body wash in the last month or so so it could be that.

I suppose I should be off to my docs but I was just wondering what a vasculitis rash is like - the symptoms and treatment. If anyone can answer i'd be grateful

I have so little vasculitis rash that perhaps others should answer. Mine is mainly a few bright red or dark purple dots on my forearm. There doesn't always seem to be a rhyme or reason... sometimes when I'm flaring or reducing pred, they appear, on one arm or the other, and sometimes they don't. Other people may have a more severe vasculitis rash with blotches closer together. You can see pics online. I've heard of people getting the red dots on their bellies, breasts, or legs. If it is an allergic reaction to the body wash, I'd think the hydrocortisone cream would have done something. Mine usually disappear in a few days, and I hope yours do, too. If not, I'd see a doc, I guess.

The problem like many things Weg related and caused, most doctors have no clue about a Weg rash or the skin issues that can often occur with it. Since they have no experience with Wegs, they will usually attribute it to something else they understand better. Since skin issues are often common with Wegs, it is prudent to have a dermatologist as one of the many specialists to see on a regular basis.
