I recommend Dr Janet Bartov in Morristown, NJ. Dr Bartov is my rheumatologist, and I feel extremely fortunate to have her looking after me. Her partner Dr David Widman is also a highly respected senior doc. I don't know if Morristown is close enough to where you are.
Dr Bartov also referred me to Dr Spiera in NYC for a second opinion, he is a leading researcher/clinician and heads the vasculitis center at the Hospital for Special Surgery, one of the top rated rheumatology programs. The other specialist whose name you will see cited by members in the metropolitan area is Dr Robert Lebovics, an ENT who specializes in GPA and other forms of vasculitis, and shares a lot of patients with Dr Spiera.
Hope this is useful information for you. Good luck!
I found it comforting today to see familiar city names from NJ. I am originally from Union and now live in Israel. I am going to keep the names of these drs handy for just in case I need them on my next trip back home! Thanks!
I am a strong person, but every now and then I also need someone to take my hand & say everything will be alright....

"You are my sunshine", he used to sing to me... "you make me happy, when skies are grey" I still answer him.
Rest in Peace, my brave Batman and take care of your weggies from heaven, until we meet again.
