Default Good news from my Doctor

Went to UPenn last Thursday for my Rituximab infusion with Dr Merkel. I get the infusions every 4 months now. He and the pulmonologist said I looked better than any other time they had seen me. Was able to stop the daily Bactrim and will be on Prednisone 5mg for the next year. They feel the Rituximab is keeping me in a state of remission and I don't need to come back for follow up and next infusion until August. Now I am have to deal with a 3.8cm growth on my Kidney. This is being reviewed by the "tumor review board" to come up with a treatment plan. Overall I am happy with the Rituximab and what it has done to keep me from flaring. Getting ready for vacation with our son, daughter son-in-law and granddaughter. Going to be a Great week!!!

Good for you,it's always nice to hear good news. Do they think you may have kidney involvement with that tumor ? I know I have alot of cysts all over may that's what it is.Anyway I hope you have a great vacation with the family.

They don't think its related to WG want to rule out cancer but they think its just a cyst from the MRI Either way kidney removal is not an option because of WG Hopefully they will be able to use a needle and freeze the cyst since it is the least invasive procedure. They will biopsy when its done to be sure
