    Default One Lucky Guy

Wow after reading some of the threads on here, I relise what a lucky guy I am. I live in Luton Bedfordshire England. And one of the best Renal Depts in the country the Lister Hospital Stevenage, is not very far from me. They have specialists in Vasculitis and the care is second to none. Because my case was life threatening when I was taken in, they have me on a Worldwide Vasculitis Study. I carry a card with me at all times, on it I have the phone No's of the Research Nurse and the Renal Ward, so if I see any signs of infection or relapse, I can contact them 24 / 7.

I was just wondering if any other Weggies on this site, are working with such great people.

    Hi Acker,
I've got the support of Addenbrookes in Cambridge to fight my corner. I trust them implicity and owe them my life. We are blessed to have doctors and nurses around the world looking after us.

"You are my sunshine", he used to sing to me... "you make me happy, when skies are grey" I still answer him.
Rest in Peace, my brave Batman and take care of your weggies from heaven, until we meet again.

Were your ears burning a bit yesterday, Acker? Geoff, freaky, myself, and our spouses all had dinner together and Geoff mentioned he had talked to you. It would have been great if you could have joined us.

There actually is one good thing about GPA and that's the nice people you meet along the way.

Hi Vdub, It sounds you all had a good time at your dinner. Yes I had a great chat with Geoff. Maybe I'll meet some of you at the do near Bedford next month?.
I'll leave you with a saying that my friend Jenny's mum, down in Somerset, always gives when meeting new people. I think it's wonderful " Hello, I hope you're feeling as good as you look" Acker
