Here, in this forum, I have found my sweet eternal love, my beautiful Phil.. :

"You are my sunshine", he used to sing to me... "you make me happy, when skies are grey" I still answer him.
Rest in Peace, my brave Batman and take care of your weggies from heaven, until we meet again.

These are all beautiful. I am no poet. I am more of a long form writer, essays, short stories, long ones, etc. The last poem I wrote was for my Mom when she was in ICU before she died when I was 17. I think I dumped the last of my poetry skills out there because I had to read it at the funeral and it was oh so personal. But, thank you all for sharing. You're all quite wonderful.

I cried when I read your post about your loss and again just now reading the poems. You have such a talent for writing, Carrie.

Thanks for sharing your poems, Michael and Alysia, they are great too. I wish I was was as talented as all of you are in writing. I used to be an okay writer, until I got involved in higher level chemistry courses, then everything I learned over the years in my english/writing courses went out the window.

    Default Dogs and Such

Just had to add to the dog thread. My wife wanted a dog, so one year before she got sick, she found a Sheltie Puppie to buy. What a handful of energy. So when she was in the hospital for two and a half weeks with GPA, our 6 week old grand son was allowed to visit. I asked the nurse that if they allowed babies, would they let her dog come for a visit. She said as long as we had proof of her health, then security would escort me and the dog to the room for a visit. Here are a few photos of those two visits...
Just pretend there is an image here. I thought that I could upload an image like we did with our profile picture but no it looked like it required a address from the web so I uploaded a whole pile of images to photobucket.com but the dang image tool wouldn't let me cut and paste and I couldn't type all of that stuff without making a ton of mistakes. So I have to use 1,000 words to help you pretend there is an image here.
She was in a brand new hospital in Maple Grove, MN and they let me bring her black and white sheltie in for a visit to her room in ICU.

So that is it until I figure out how to put an image here.

I added a photo album showing hospital visitors. I never could get this image source to accept cut and paste

I, too, found uploading an image was tricky, but it doesn't have to be from a url, you are given a choice between that and getting a pic from somewhere on your computer, in your photo files, on your desktop, or wherever. What I found out later is that there is a size limit for inserting a pic into a post, and I forget if is 100 or 80 megapixels. I don't even remember how I found that out. So I ended up having to reduce the size of the pic, which wasn't as easy as I thought it should be on my old Apple laptop. While in the photo editing program, iPhoto, I selected the pic and then had to go to File and then Export, and then it would let me resize it before exporting it to my desktop. From there, I could easily access it to insert it into a post. This may not help much at all if you have a different operating system, etc., but good luck, and I'd like to see those pics!
