Hi wegetarian, interesting find, it would be nice to find a drug to treat this disease, that is user friendly, with little or no side effects.

Hopes and dreams are still free, until someone finds a way to own it, or put a tax on it.

Keep up the good work wegaterian.

    Regards woz

Drugs like azathioprine are frequently used to prevent rejection of transplanted organs so it would be great if turned out to be effective for people who have had organ transplants. Some day they will find a way to fix our broken immune systems I think, but the question is when and how long will it take to do so and get implemented for common treatment. It may happen first with a more common autoimmune disease like type one diabetes since there will be more funding and pressure for such a cure.

Thanks for your kind words Alysia Its no problem at all, I just been reading another local support group pages and cross-posting all the interesting articles for my friends over here since I'm sure you guys will enjoy them too. I know of another support group too that looked active, will probably check through their posts too. Next week I might go for lunch near a university, might go to their computer lab to get access to all the medical journals so I could download a ton of articles for myself, but dunno - I mean they are a bit tough to read so I only understand a fraction of the content anyway.

Unfortunately a few of the articles I found are not in English Like an 3-page interview with a local awarded specialist. Well that one was mainly about general things on treatment of rare diseases but I would have shared if it I could have conveniently done so.
