    Default Eye Lessions

So I had an appointment last Friday at Cleveland. And the intern noticed that I had eye lessions (little bumps really) on my eye lids. The doctor and the internist discussed and declared that they were cholesterol lessions. I thought that odd as I though my cholesterol runs low and they've been on my eyelids for years now...even if a bit less noticable.

SO I came home and looked up labwork, and it's been consistantly 120-130 for LDL...which by all accounts is pretty good. I looked around for other possible causes and landed on Primary Biliary Cirohsis when cross referencing against other issues I've had. Now I was diagnosed with cirhosis of unknown cause that they attributed to my weight at the time. It seemed logical that it was weight related, so I really didn't question it much. But Biliary Cirhosis is an auto immune disease and has been linked to other Vasculitis types so now I'm curious. Adding in the my gallbladder ruptured at some point in the past now I wonder if I'm having a bile duct issue similar to my vasculitis (affectively biliary cirhosis attacks bile ducts the way vasculitis attacks blood vessels).

Gonna make an appointment with my regular doctor to just see what his thoughts are. I might be able to get back into my previous internal medicine doctor, but don't want to waste time at a specialist if I'm way off base.

If the bumps are like pimples, you may have schilazions. These are small pockets of infection usually in the follicles of your eyelashes. You may want to consider consulting with your ophthalmologist to get a more definitive diagnosis.

That is a really complicated one. I got ulcers on my cornea and lost the membrane on m,y eyelids and behind my eyes. I have had it operated on 3 times and am just about ready to go for the 4th.
Are your lesions a bother or don't they bother any thing. If they are harmless just leave them alone but if they can do damage then for sure see a specialist.

Saw my ophthalmologist yesterday. They are just inclusion cysts. Basically completely benign, caused by tiny bacterial infections...probably just from being immune suppressed.

Unfortunately I have cataracts in both eyes now and the one I had previously is now 3 times worse (though still pretty mild)...so i'll have to get those fixed at some point in the next year. Stupid Prednisone.

I'm starting to think that I'm going to have to ignore things a little. I'm starting to doubt if my flares have really been flares. Probably just a matter of forgetting the pain, but I'm so tired of steroids at this point...every time I get to 0 I've flared again. I think I need proof of the problem next time in my labs or something....or I'm just being neurotic tonight...miaybe both lol.
