    Unhappy Cellcept

I would advise everyone on Cellcept to check thier insurance !!
Just went on line to Express Scripts and found the price had jumped from $40.00 to $966.00 !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!I have to order the generic version which I know nothing about. I;m getting tired of this !!!!

I think your first price must be a mistake. It has always cost around $1000 / month or more as far as I am aware.

We have a problem with supply here in the UK at the moment due to pharmasists buying it and selling it on to other countries at a profit. To stop them doing this, the manufacturers are restricting the supply!

That was my co-pay price - $40.00 for THREE months supply. I thought the UK had "free" health care ??

We do (actually, I pay £100 per year for everything), but I looked up the price on the internet when I first started taking it.

I knew it was expensive because my regular doctor was not allowed to precribe it (specialists only) and my pharmacy asked if they could process the prescription so that they could get paid before placing an order for my 3 month supply.

To PBerg...I had bad stomach and lower GI problems with the 500 mg tabs, went back to 250 caps - 2 in the morning and 3 at night - that helped a lot.

I don't seem to notice any problems with the Cellcept yet.

JohnL - In the UK it is called Mycophenolate and is available in a slow release form under the name Myfortic for people with stomach problems. This is the one I switched to, but it did not make much difference. I think my problems lie elsewhere.
