    Default Mouth/Gums

    Hi Guys,

I remember when I first got sick I had all these huge mouth sores on my tongue; they were horrible. I had a huge one that left a scar on my tongue.

Right now; the top left set of gums is super inflamed and swollen around my teeth. It hurts. I seem to remember this happening a few times in my life (whether wegs related or not). What do you think... Should I call in the morning; or just see if it goes away. My CRP has been elevated around 35 and I am being watched... Something I should report?

Hi Carrie make that call and tell them that similar thing happened before. Best never to ignore familiar symptoms.

My son had huge sores along the side of his tongue that would not go away just before initial diagnosis.

    Dear Carrie

    Hi.
One thing that I learned from WG is that we should be very sensitive to any change that may seem abnormal in our body because relapse happens unexpectedly and quickly.
So, I guess you should call.
    Wish you the best,

Ugh, now I feel guilty and I guess I will have to call in.

It seems to have gone down a bit now; I ate popcorn yesterday and I'm wondering if a piece didn't jab me. My gums are always unusually sensitive - so I usually avoid things like hard toast (and popcorn!) but I was tempted with nacho cheese flavoring and that was the end of that.

Yes, I take a med to try prevent cold sores and when I had sores in my mouth they gave me a stronger one. I was also advised on here to get a special kind of toothpaste to reduce risk of irritation when brushing. It was hard to find as it doesn't have a chemical that is contained in most toothpaste to make it more sudsy and this kind cost a lot more but the sores did go away.

I tell my doc about every symptom that comes up. Go see your dentist first thing tomorrow.

I wouldn't mind knowing the name of that toothpaste drz.
The sudsy/frothy toothpaste makes me choke for the next hour..........this is about the only thing my husband can't deal with.
