Etiology of Wegener's...big news in science/research
Hey there and best wishes to the collective group!
Thought I would copy/post the latest info from the New England Journal of Medicine regarding a genetic component that has been demonstrated to be a factor in the development of Wegener's. More research=better understanding=better chance for a cure. We need to cheerlead these scientists on!

Hugs and kisses to all, and one of Marta's non religious prayers, as well.

Interesting paper, Jane--thanks for digging it up and sharing it!
There is no question that WG is "genetic", in the sense that many genes are involved. The only question is whether it is "genetic" in the usual sense of being heritable. The jury seems to still be out on this one....
