I had bilateral, severe hip joint pain that lasted more than 2 years. We never figured out what caused it. It happened when I got the elevated intracranial pressure a year after Wegs dx. I came home from the hospital and couldn't rotate or flex/extend my hips at all without severe pain. I couldn't take anything but small steps. It acted exactly like avascular necrosis of the femur heads but MRI's 6 months apart were normal. We never figured it out. Over time it eased up and it's gone now. It didn't correlate with Wegs activity at all. Most inexplicable thing I've had yet.
