There has been a lot of discussion about saddle noses and surgery on this page. And all the posts are recent. Might be worth checking out.

Glad it went well. I had my surgery 11 years ago sounds like the same rib cartilage. I was very pleased with the result. I have relapsed 2 times since then and I think it is falling back in. How long is it suppose to last? I'm sure the relapse didn't help.
