Thank you, Sangye! You are one of the people I admire and read the most on the forum (there are others, too, of course!) and I'm honored that you replied to my post. I was diagnosed in April of this year and have been lurking on this wonderful forum since the end of March.... I hope soon to take the time to properly introduce myself and become a more active member of the group.

I just looked up guaifenesen on Wikipedia and there is some interesting info there. Do be careful, if you buy it, that you don't get the versions that also contain pseudoephedrine (decongestant) or dextropmorphan (cough suppressant) unless that is what you want. I'd stick with the plain and use those other things separately, occasionally and with caution, if you feel the need.
