    Default Sinus Odor/Sinus Infections

I've dealt with this since being diagnosed, although in the last few weeks (due to Rituxan treatments?) the "gunk" is next to nothing. However the odor remains strong. I know others can possibly smell it because I've been told. Might not be anything one's able to do.
Do you/have you dealt w/ this?

I remember seeing another thread about this somewhere on the board.......you might look for it - it may have more info for you. Early on, when I was having repeat sinus infections, it smelled like moth balls. As far as I know, no one else could smell it, cause when I told the docs, they looked at me like I was nuts.

This is a fowl smell - like sinus infection if you will. During one visit to my doc, while she's checking my heart/lungs I mentioned it. She said she could smell it!
I've had times when it smelt of cigarette smoke, other things. This odor though I'm particularly self-conscious of. Maybe it's the Rituxan. Though I've dealt w/ it all along it's seemed stronger the last few weeks.

To me, it's like smelly socks, or bad blood or even some types of mushrooms ... if that makes sense.
For a while I thought it was me and kept using deoderant all day, but then my husband said I was fine and he couldn't smell anything.

Just have to keep sinus rinsing and I sometimes use bactroban ointment which is an antiobiotic cream - seems to help a little
It only happens when the nose is particularly crusty or infected again.
Most times I can't smell anything in the outside world ... at all

This happens to me too. It is usually a sinus infection and I can smell it, that's usually when I call and get it checked out and maybe get on an antibiotic.

It sounds like an infection. Rtx won't cause the odor.
