    Default Always waiting for something.....

Is it just me, or does it seem like we're always waiting for something????

    - waiting for lab results
    - waiting for a return call from the doctor
    - waiting to see if symptoms will reappear or dissapear
    - waiting (and hoping) to see if a new med will work
    - waiting for the next appointment with some sort of specialist

I've been waiting a week for the results of an enzyme test, so I can add Imuran to my drug coctail. Assuming I can take it, I'll have another 8 weeks of waiting to see if it will work!

None of this is going the way I had it planned! I was supposed to start my treatment, be off pred within a couple of months, and be into remission by now!! Surely that's not asking too much. I don't remember approving this crappy new timeline.

I know the feeling. I am waiting for the Imuran results as well as my potassium bloodwork. It's always hurry up and wait with this stuff.

I think all of life is about waiting, it's just that with Wegs it's more obvious because it's unpleasant. In non-Wegs Land right now, I'm waiting for 2 packages to arrive, waiting for someone to email me back, waiting for a paperwork approval, etc.... Even my dogs are always waiting for something-- food, play time, walks, food, play time, walks, etc....

I think the waiting is part of how Wegs teaches us patience. Most people can take azathioprine OK so my doctor started me on a low dosage while waiting for the test results in a few days. Mine actually took longer cause the lab screwed up and put in wrong vial and it had to be repeated. The lab tried to make it up by sending someone to my house to get the second sample which I thought was nice of them.
