Hi. I'm a new member, but my dad was diagnosed over a year ago. He's just finishing up a year of medications, and we're hoping for remission in the next month when he stops the meds. The spots in his lungs haven't shrank very much, but here's hoping they won't grow.

Hello Hersche,

How big are the spots? They are thinking mine wil take a year to a year a year and a half to shrink...Mine is about the size of a tennis ball. Good Luck, let us know how he makes out.

Thanks for all the concern everybody. I don't recall how big the spots are, but I don't think they are tennis ball sized. From what he tells me, they haven't shrank much in the year of treatment.

What medications is/was your Dad on? Were they monitored properly/increased over the year?

7 months after my diagnosis, all the spots on my lungs have gone. I'm very happy about that - it was a huge burden off my mind when I was told that in December. The docs must be getting something right.
