LOL-- You'd remember a lavage. They put a lot of saline in your lungs to pick up anything that's sitting around in there. They do it several times to get different samples. It feels like you're being drowned....

In 48 hrs it will be all over with. The countdown is on ......
My issue is that it's just 'another thing'. Another doctor's appointment, another procedure, another drug, another this, another that. I've already been thru hell and back with ulcerative colitis - spent 2 years in the hospital with that, lost my large colon, most of my small intestine, ovaries, kidney function for a while. Had my last rites read twice, 'saw the light', had a nephrostomy (brutal - the worst thing I've been thru yet). I use the bathroom about 20 times per day because my UC surgery wasn't a great success (I'm still alive, so it did work ... have to think that the glass is half full on this one.) And after all the fighting to stay alive, and it has been a fight, I now have Wegener's, complete with all it's blood work, CT scans, xrays, injections, pills. I'm just so sick of it all. Sorry everyone, it's been a bad past few weeks. I'm sure things will look up. Right now it's just one more thing I have to go thru. Thanks for all of your support - it's really appreciated.
!You are a very strong person, you go ahead and vent. Big hugs to you
Gutless, I understand. It's exhausting and it seems like there's no end in sight. I can't imagine what it must be like to have another major disease on top of Wegs. Hugs to you.
Gutless, just think we will all be there with you LOL

Thanks, everyone! Great to know that you'll all be there with me ... with Jack in the corridor. 24 hours to go until it's done!
Hi Gutless,
Sounds like you have been through a lot! Don't worry about a bronchoscopy, I am sure you will do just fine!
I have had 4, the last one not so pleasant because they gave me steroid iv and other meds during the procedure because they were trying to open up some scarring that they saw.
